Scriptwriting

For creative writing, my favorite medium is scriptwriting as I find them more visual, punchy, and open to interpretation. Below are a collection of short scripts for a course I took on screenwriting for television. Their themes are often focused on women and the various roles they may take in the world. I hope you enjoy.
Josephine, a tired mother.
This was an exercise to communicate a character's desire without dialogue.

Jennifer and Tracy, a mother and daughter go dress shopping.
This was an exercise on writing a story in three pages, with two characters, and one location.

Elizabeth, a girl who wants a popsicle.
This was an exercise on writing a script with a three-act structure. This one is a personal favorite.

Keeley, an Australian in Shanghai.
This was an exercise to use all elements of a story.

I run a newsletter by the name of Gilded Pepper Post. I write on a range of topics from tech, fashion, music, and literature, and pick items from each theme that I find are worth telling others about. If this piques your interest, click here to subscribe.
